Sanit is a costume technician in our Specialty Costume Props department. For this Mini Epics remix, Sanit found himself wondering what Sauron would’ve looked like if he fought on the side of good. Sanit also mentioned that while working, he loves watching videos of other creatives, exploring and being inspired by the various ways people make things.

“In my role, I love the challenge of turning 2D drawings into wearable costumes, and all the problem solving that comes with it. My starting point was Galadriel: I imagined Sauron having that same ‘light’ look. I was also reminded of how young Paua shells look, so I wanted the armour to have similar colouring. The colour shift of the armour surprised me with how much it changed the character, I was blown away by the paint departments work and the result was better than I could’ve imagined.”
