Weta Legs are a unique, low profile, professional grade reverse leg stilt for creature and costume performances in movies, television, theatre, circus, street performances and other creative performances. Something previously reserved for commercial film and television projects, they are the first of their kind available commercially to the public.

Built with an extraordinarily low profile, Weta Legs can easily be costumed to resemble a digitigrade leg, from canine and feline to fantastical demons, dragons, satyrs and even robots. They allow for realistic and natural movement as they are jointed at the knee and the ankle.

Supremely comfortable, the Weta Legs can be precisely tuned using the ingenious Y-cable to change the wearer's centre of balance to compensate for a large tail, a big head or other costume features.

Weta legs have been designed to be used without shoes and are, when properly adjusted, comfortable enough to wear all day, saving time and effort on set or during stage performances. Once set up initially, for which we recommend you ask someone to assist you, Weta Legs are also very easy to put on and take off without help.

The Y-cable in conjunction with the unique foot and tread design further makes it possible to stand perfectly still in a pair of Weta Legs.

Conceived and designed by sculptor and inventor Kim Graham, the Weta Legs have been developed in collaboration with the technicians at Weta Workshop and every pair is manufactured by hand. Each set is made to order and is tested thoroughly to ensure the quality of workmanship is second to none.

Weta has made many pairs of digitigrade leg extensions in the past for stunt men and creature performers in the movies and on the stage, but this is the first time we can offer a leg to anyone who wants to walk like an animal.

The components are the highest grade and designed using state-of-the-art technologies and facilities, including 3D modelling and milling, water jet cutting, plasma cutting and welding.

** Because of lack of pre-orders, Weta cancelled the Weta Legs June 12, 2010.
