Master swordsmith, Peter Lyon, started working for Weta on The Lord of the Rings trilogy in 1998. He made the hero swords for The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Last Samurai, The Narnia Chronicles and more. In 2008-2009, Weta released three original Peter Lyon swords, limited to only 1. Peter has, in later years, started "mass producing" collectible versions of the hero swords from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies.
