"It had been the plan to create a figure for Pippin based on his appearance in The Fellowship of the Ring, but, with so many figures in development, he kept being nudged in the line-up.
A version was sculpted, intended to portray Pippin in a state of embarrassment after having just knocked a bucket, chain and corpse down the well in Balin's tomb, but the figure did not meet sculptor Bill Hunt's own expectations and in discussion with Richard Taylorit was decided to abandon the concepts rather than revisit or refine it."
