Bred in the pits of Orthanc by the Wizard Saruman, Lurtz is a towering Uruk-hai; long-limbed, strong and fearless. Sent to retrieve the Halflings for his master, Lurtz presses his hunters relentlessly, marching even under a bright noon sun.

At Amon Hen the Uruks fall upon the Fellowship, finding them scattered amid the ruins and woods. Lurtz spies Merry and Pippin and sends his warriors after them, but meets unexpected resistance when Boromir, warrior of Gondor, comes running to the hobbits’ aid. Resolute before overwhelming odds, Boromir slays many Uruk-hai, but wily Lurtz knows better than to come within range of the swordsman’s blade, preferring instead to stand off and skewer him with thick-hafted arrows.

Weta Workshop is proud to welcome Lurtz at Amon Hen to its high-quality 1:6 scale Middle-earth line; a line that has been designed by the very same artists and technicians who work on our movies.

"This is a collectible I have always wanted to do! Lurtz is, in fact, my favourite character that we’ve ever created in our career."
Richard Taylor - CEO & Co-founder, Weta Workshop
