The Skyraider was auctioned off with all proceeds being donated to the New Zealand Red Cross to assist in the raising of money for Christchurch earthquake relief efforts. Christchurch, the second-largest city in New Zealand, was devastated by a 6.3 magnitude quake on 22 February 2011.
