In the shadows of the Castle of the Crystal a dark and terrible discovery has been made. Entrusted with guardianship of the great Crystal itself, the Skeksis have abused their power and the Gelflings in their service. Under the direction of the Emperor, SkekSo, the Crystal’s lifegiving properties have been cruelly exerted by the Skeksis to stretch their own vain lives.

The Emperor will stop at nothing to preserve the absolute power upon which he thrives. When word of the Skeksis’ betrayal escapes, he puts into effect a vicious and far-reaching plan. Gelfling clans are pitted against one another and the Skeksis plot against their peers, but is there an even darker secret underpinning the cunning Emperor’s schemes?

The three different sized circular bases across our 1:6 scale Dark Crystal range represent the three suns in the skies of Thra; the dying sun, rose sun, and great sun. Familiar iconography from the floor of the Crystal Chamber are featured around the outside. Spy the symbols of the UrSkek, which have since been appropriated as signs of discord and Skeksis aggression.

Sculpted in 1:6 scale, this limited edition polystone statue pays tribute to a powerful character in his prime, long before The Dark Crystal film. SkekSo features a rich & intricate costume with multiple sculpted fabrics, including a metal prosthesis for skekSo’s rotting nose. All four of skekSo’s arms are displayed, with the back pair holding onto his carapac. Prototype sculpted by Weta Workshop sculptor Hao Wang.
