Created by Weta Workshop painter Freya Milner from the basis of Mauro Santini's Smaug Mini Epics sculpt. During discussions for the upcoming 10th anniversary of the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Freya knew that there had to be cake involved, and who better to serve as a tasty treat than the deliciously rich Dragon lord himself..

"Personally, am most proud of the work I've done where people don't notice the paint job, but just accept it as being the skin of a creature, or a real weapon. Painting as an art form is incredibly diverse; I love that just through painting you can make something look so different, like we did with Smaug here."
